The Walt Disney Theater at Walt Disney Presents in Disney's Hollywood Studios is now closed for refurbishment.
Disney had previously posted a refurbishment notice for February 12 through March 1, but this was later removed. While the walk-through exhibits remain open, the movie portion of the attraction is now closed off with the entrance behind black curtains.
Disney has not provided a reopening date, but based on the original notice, it may well be March 2, 2024.
Originally opened to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Walt's birth, the gallery showcases his life story from small-town America to Hollywood. Inside, guests can explore one-of-a-kind sketches, photos, models, costumes, artwork, and more. Walt Disney Presents also includes a screening of Walt Disney: One Man's Dream, a 15-minute documentary that showcases Walt Disney's life.
