Disney's latest mask policy goes into effect today at Walt Disney World, with fully vaccinated guests no longer being required to wear masks when indoors with the exception of enclosed transportation.
Face coverings are still required by all Guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner. Signage remains in place at the entrances to transportation, and Cast Members are enforcing mask usage.
Inside the parks, overnight crews have removed all "mask required" signage at the entrances to attractions, shops, and restaurants.
From casual observation, the majority of guests are choosing not to wear masks either indoors or outdoors. However, there are still plenty of masks around, and some guests continue to be cautious. If you choose to wear a mask on an upcoming visit, you will certainly not be alone.
The latest Walt Disney World mask policy now in effect as of February 17 2022 is as follows:
Beginning February 17, 2022, Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations. We expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters. Face coverings will still be required by all Guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner.
Walt Disney World Cast Members are also impacted by the new policy, with onstage Cast now having the option of wearing a mask. Many of the Cast Members in the parks are choosing to continue to wear masks.
