Disney has filed a Notice of Commencement for Phase II of the World Drive North redevelopment near to the Transportation and Ticket Center at Walt Disney World.
The permit suggests that work will begin soon, and has an expiration date of December 22 2022. (Thanks to danlb_2000 for spotting the permit)
According to the filings:
"The project is the Phase 2 extension and realignment of World Drive and the associated ramps and frontage roads. Phase 2 of the World Drive extension will begin where Phase 1 ends near Floridian Way and east of the existing car care center. The end of Phase 2 ties in to Floridian Way approximately 800 feet south of Seven Seas Drive. The total project length is approximately 1.3 miles."
Disney has been actively working on the roadways around the TTC for a number of years as an effort to improve traffic flow in the area. The Phase 1 project included flyovers and a bypass of the parking Plaza.
