Just retract the castle into the ground permanently, demolish half of Fantasyland, and put a roller coaster in its place.

I can't speak for you but, for myself I wouldn't be so paranoid if everyone wasn't out to get me. So I guess your ideas must be earth shakingly good enough to anger the theme park gods.

I also think real canons firing live rounds would be exciting and thrilling for guests.

Basil of Baker StreetJan 14, 2025

2 words. Ninja Turtles.

Chi84Jan 14, 2025

That must be quite an idea!

I do so want to share an idea how to retheme it along the lines of the struggle of current ideology the confrontations it generates but I and anything I have posted for the last 19 years would vanish faster than pixie dust in a hurricane.

I mean the Castle is a bit old hat now too. That whole Princess vibe seems so dated. Maybe it could be re-themed too. 🤪 (Unlike others, I assumed your post was tongue-in-cheek).

GoofyernmostJan 14, 2025

How would you retheme Pirates? Peter Pan, maybe add some real animatronics? Pooh, if retheme means something completely different, I agree. Big Thunder, isn't that what they are doing or do you mean something completely different? Space Ship earth, maybe a new verbal script and narrator plus put back something to see on the reverse trip, not those individual vehicle computer shows. Carousel of Progress, touch that and answer to me. It needs nothing other than a different purpose promotion. It needs to stay as it is and be just a historical presentation of the way things were in the 20th Century. Anyone younger than 35 years old has never really experienced the degree of progress that happened during the century. It is always good to see where we came from so we can gauge how we are doing today. But, chances are we are headed back that way so the youth of today should be able to see what they have in store.

That’s an odd thing to say. I was talking about my particular family and a single attraction. People can and do have different preferences. The commercial was concentrating on the thrill aspect of the ride, just as prior commercials and ads showed the drop part before the re-theming.

WorldExplorerJan 14, 2025

They could always show both the drop AND the supposedly impressive show scenes they spent a lot of money on that feature a character that they clearly believe is a draw.

Basil of Baker StreetJan 14, 2025

Agreed. Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Pooh, Big Thunder, Space Mountain, Space Ship Earth and Carousel of Progress are due for a re theme as well.

I'm just going off of what my kids told me. They loved the new Tiana theming, especially the music, and couldn't wait for me to ride it. But when it was my turn I ended up having to climb out of the boat pretty early on. I should point out that none of us had any sort of special love for the initial theming so the change was a good thing from our standpoint.

GhostHost1000Jan 13, 2025

there are a lot of problems with that ride in addition to reliability, but that's discussed in the other thread so I'll just leave it there.

Chi84Jan 13, 2025

Most don't care nearly as much as the super fans here. They do love theming and animatronics in general though. The problem with that particular ride is it's unreliable.
