Jellyrolls, the popular dueling piano bar at Disney's BoardWalk, has officially announced its closing date. After nearly 30 years of entertaining guests with live music and high-energy performances, Jellyrolls will end operations on April 19, 2025.

The closure was confirmed on Jellyrolls' official social media channels, where they shared that details for farewell performances will be announced at a later date. The venue has encouraged fans to stay tuned for updates as they prepare for their final months at Disney's BoardWalk.

Jellyrolls first opened in 1996, offering an adults-only nightlife experience where talented pianists take song requests and lead the crowd in lively sing-alongs. Over the years, it became a go-to spot for both locals and Disney vacationers looking for an upbeat, interactive atmosphere. Its closing marks the end of an era for the BoardWalk's entertainment scene.

As of now, there has been no word on what will replace Jellyrolls at its current location or if the bar will reopen elsewhere. Fans still have time to visit before the final show on April 19, with more farewell event details expected in the coming months.

I can't wait to get into that bubble and I truly don't want to leave during my stay. The bubble is a HUGE part of why I have been going back all these years.

While you can find dueling pianos elsewhere, and I spent many nights at the now defunct Jake Ivory's in Boston, I enjoyed that Jellyrolls sprinkled in Disney tunes with the usual classics - perhaps the only place to experience that.

I will really miss Jelly Rolls. This was a part of our park trip 4 -5 year since it opened. Many fun nights/memories. Don't understand why they don't see the need for more evening adult entertainment not less.

a game of chance indeed, since if there was a clear winner that’s all they would do.

It’s always a game of what can make them more money, fully own/operate or collect rent

Disney needs to put some more moderately priced dining at the Boardwalk, and/or more QS variety. Don’t think it will happen but I wish it would.

If that is how Disney management wanted to operate they wouldn’t have leased out the cake bake space or the corn dog cart. Not to mention the majority of Disney Springs.

I don't think that would be a bad idea. With swan and dolphin looking to increase its convention profile, it would make sense for Disney to have something to cater to that market, and the location at Jellrolls/ACD would be perfect. Plus if Disney things the market is there, it would be much better to have WDW owned locations in those spots to collect the revenue, as opposed to just getting rent.

2001 is when things began to change after 9/11. Even River Country was open until then. Many people think it had a life span as short as the wave machine at the Polynesian. But for the purposes of this discussion - Pleasure Island was still having nightly fireworks until 2005. Like most things with modern Disney, I’m not suggesting we should still have pleasure island as it was. But the Iger era doesn’t get the special things that work and tears them out and rebuilds. Back to this discussion- I’m wondering if Disney is taking over this space to make a restaurant and “jazz club” that will satisfy the contract with swan and dolphin so they can close Atlantic City Dance? Cause that would make sense and with that entire space available - Disney could make something cool if they wanted to. (Jellyrolls, Preview center, and Big River)

I would have to go back and see what was being offered then vs now, but i will be honest even that is 25 years ago, and i don't think its the same market then as now. Also, and again haven't done any checking, I would hazard a guess the offering/marketing weren't balanced. There might have been more spending/focus on different demos, but the core spending is always going to be geared to a certain market.
