As part of this week's media event, Disney has provided a brief update on EPCOT's new nighttime spectacular set to debut later in 2023.

According to Disney, the new show will "feature an original composition and evocative selections from the Disney songbook – all woven together to remind us that we are more alike than different."

Expected to debut fall 2023, the show will continue to use music, pyrotechnics, lasers, and lighting.

Harmonious show

The new show will be the permanent replacement for Harmonious, which will close at the end of March 2023. EPCOT Forever will return as an interim show while the new show is developed for its fall debut.

Disney has also previously confirmed that there will be a phased removal of the fireworks platform in World Showcase lagoon.

Firework platforms for Harmonious have been a source of significant guest pushback

Harmonious, which debuted as part of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary and the brain-child of former CEO Bob Chapek, has faced heavy guest criticism for the daytime impact on the view across World Showcase Lagoon and disappointing as a show.

We were seeing it again. The bridge was inoperable for a while, so they remained in the lagoon. They have to move everything from backstage to reload and prep the show, so it takes much longer that way. They don't like it any more than we do.

Was just there Friday 9/13 and got caught behind the bridge as they moved the barges into the lagoon in the afternoon. So definitely not leaving them all the time!

correct me if wrong but aren't we seeing this all over again? Haven't they been leaving the luminous barges on the water during the day now or did they stop? Granted they aren't as bad but still.

That was also the theme song and intro to the Millennium Celebration 2000 Broadcast. I have a CNN 2000 DVD that has a summary highlighting all the world's Celebration perfectly paired with this song. If this song was created for Epcot alone then you couldn't of asked for a better song to highlight the year 2000 and new millennium.

The immigration Hall music is actually the music from epcot's show Illuminations : Reflections of Earth. Right?!?! Omg DLP's entertainment game is on another level right now and good for them. 100% yes.

THAT Was Stunning!!!!!! That whole Tag was around 2min, 20sec..... No excuse not to do that right after Luminous to honor the longest running WSL Show! I believe TDO now has DLRP's last Entertainment Director? IDK if that person is on Starlight's Team since Paris hasn't had an Electric Parade(Fanti) since Summer 2012....... ROE plays in Immigration Halls???????
