Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the name of the new rollercoaster attraction coming to Epcot.

The adventure starts in the “Galaxarium,” a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. Guests will be invited to learn more about the treasures Xandar has to share – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue.

Also confirmed is that the rotating ride vehicle that will focus guests on the action will also feature a reverse launch - a first on a Disney coaster.

Probably worst case scenario. BG 40 is usually called around 10:30am, so typical return window ends at 11:30am. But they don't enforce return windows anyways, so it's just all semantics lol.

I have BG 40 and when they called me this morning the app said to return by 2pm. I wonder if it's going to close early today. If not why did they choose 2pm?

Possibly a mistake, but they just called 79 BGs in a span of 8 minutes during the initial wave at park opening at 8:45am. ^my phone clock is central time fyi

Hopefully I won't need it, but expect to be hearing from me otherwise!

If it isn’t, I’ve figured out the trick to pretty much guaranteeing a boarding group if you need it

Probably because GotG doesn't actually spin. It's turned and held in place so when you spiral down you're always facing the planet, for example.

Yes. By July 2031. 😁

Anyone have any idea as to whether this will be off Virtual Queue by July? It seems crazy for it to remain on VQ for so long.

HauntedPirateJan 03, 2025

You're lucky. My experiences on GotG have gone downhill. First ride in September 2022, I felt OK after riding. Every subsequent ride has resulted in my feeling increasingly nauseous, with the noted exception of my last ride where I basically closed my eyes after launch and entering the gravity building. I have no desire to ever ride it again because A) what's the point in riding something just to have to close your eyes to not be sick, and B) it's.... not that good to begin with. :cautious:

DisoneJan 03, 2025

Same for me except reversed. I was a tad bit nauseous after crush but with GotG I am fine. At least now I am. The first time or two on GotG I did get disorientated during the launch but after a couple of runs this no longer happens.

HauntedPirateJan 03, 2025

They felt totally different to me, except for the nauseous feeling after exiting the ride vehicle. Which quite honestly was much less after riding Crush than GotG, despite a much higher amount of actual spinning vs. the forced turning.

Blasphemy! 😂

I gotta say….. I just rode the crush coaster at Disney studios and it felt just like cosmic rewind. Like to a crazy extent. Not sure if that price tag was worth it haha.
