It has been a while since we had an update on EPCOT'S Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, because there really hasn't been anything to see on the building itself.
However, in the last couple of days there is now something new to see along the roof line of the former Universe of Energy.
It isn't clear exactly what this is, but it looks like some type of cladding being attached to the water barrier that has been in place for sometime on the angled panels.
They don't look like they are solar panels, and we don't know if these are permanently mounted or a test.
Guardian's of the Galaxy is expected to open in 2022 at EPCOT, later than the original intended opening prior to the start of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary celebrations in October.
The more than $400 million coaster will feature a new 'omincoaster' ride system where the rollercoaster vehicles can rotate 360 degrees and will launch in reverse.
