Disney has today showed some new video of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind' rollercoaster at a testing facility.

The Omnicoaster is a first- of-its-kind programmable roller coaster ride system, where guests can be rotated along the ride track in any direction while traveling at high speeds. The Omnicoaster name builds upon the tradition of the Omnimover ride system in which Walt Disney Imagineers are able to turn guests in any direction and focus their attention on a specific scene or element.

The more than $400 million coaster was originally expected to open in 2021, but an opening window has been thrown into some doubt due to the COVID-19 shutdown and reduction in spending. Disney did not offer any information an opening timeframe with the release of this new video.

The new video was part of a presentation by Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, as he took the virtual stage at the IAAPA Expo: Virtual Education Conference.

Honestly, this is my favorite ride anywhere.

Still think it works best with the beginning of the theme starting just as you hit the "portal..." You'd think that with the merch they could sell just on October 1st every year this would be a no-brainer for them...

Both. But funny because if there's an unspoken thing that every 9/21 it only plays that song, but Disney never acknowledges it, that's hilarious. Explaining jokes doesn't often make them better.

Starting at 1:27; Concurrently when Eson says "what is that noise?" Aligns with 0:27 here... again, just all instrumental, in a slightly higher key, and sped up... )

Here’s the clearest recording It plays when you see the ship right before the launch for two bars. It’s up-tempo compared to the original recording. Again it’s all instrumental, but you can almost hear the guitar vocalizing ‘Here we go, feel the flow, through the universe of energy!’

If you say so. I watched several videos and honestly can't tell.

That's really good. However, I watched several videos with existing songs. There is a different loop as you go into the reversal chamber. The song starts as soon as you propel backwards. Then the chosen song continues to play as you enter the exit area all the way to the disembark zone. So maybe push it back a little bit and have it start as soon as you propel backwards and see how it comes out.

Oh my word. That's the most magnificent thing I've seen in a long time. The musical arrangement fits the track layout perfectly. If this is the same plan for the coaster that would have just been a "Big Bang" theme with no IP, this must have been the plan.

I didn’t realize they had more than one song. (Sarcasm). I’ve ridden 11 times outside of Christmas (Run Run Rockit) and heard September 7 times and Rule the World 4 times. 2! Songs in 11 rides!

If Spaceship Earth goes down like what current rumors say, I'd say 'probably' so that it can start eating people better.

Yes. And it's CRAZY accurate! I don't think it a coincidence. It needs to happen! https://www.youtubemultiplier.com/66e368dac8bb1-universe-of-synergy-gotg.php

Technically the song playing from the Milano as you round the corner and rotate backwards is an instrumental of the original UOE song
