Following this morning's announcement of a May 27 opening for EPCOT's Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, Disney has updated the attraction's webpage to include more details and a countdown clock.

The page for Cosmic Rewind shows a brief video of EPCOT, the Guardians characters, and the coaster's ride vehicle.

Also included is a countdown clock to the ride's official opening on May 27 2022, just 52 days away.

This is how Disney describes 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind."

Rock Out On An Intergalactic Chase

An All-New Attraction located in World Discovery at EPCOT-Launching May 27, 2022!

Introducing an All-New Coaster

This family-thrill attraction features the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster and is one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world! A new innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering—this coaster rotates 360 degrees so you can focus on the action!

A World Beyond Belief

Begin your adventure by touring the Galaxarium—a planetarium-like exhibition showcasing the similarities and differences between Xandar and Earth's galaxies. You'll even get to discover some of the incredible wonders of Xandar and learn about their technology.

An Extraterrestrial Escapade

Just as you are about to reach the culmination of the tour, everything goes sideways, and you are called into action to help the Guardians of the Galaxy. Join Rocket, Groot, Gamora, and Star-Lord on an urgent mission where you'll rewind, rotate and head towards the action through an exciting space pursuit.
Ready for an awesome quest across the cosmos to save the galaxy? It's all up to you!

Hopefully I won't need it, but expect to be hearing from me otherwise!

If it isn’t, I’ve figured out the trick to pretty much guaranteeing a boarding group if you need it

Probably because GotG doesn't actually spin. It's turned and held in place so when you spiral down you're always facing the planet, for example.

Yes. By July 2031. 😁

Anyone have any idea as to whether this will be off Virtual Queue by July? It seems crazy for it to remain on VQ for so long.

You're lucky. My experiences on GotG have gone downhill. First ride in September 2022, I felt OK after riding. Every subsequent ride has resulted in my feeling increasingly nauseous, with the noted exception of my last ride where I basically closed my eyes after launch and entering the gravity building. I have no desire to ever ride it again because A) what's the point in riding something just to have to close your eyes to not be sick, and B) it's.... not that good to begin with. :cautious:

Same for me except reversed. I was a tad bit nauseous after crush but with GotG I am fine. At least now I am. The first time or two on GotG I did get disorientated during the launch but after a couple of runs this no longer happens.

They felt totally different to me, except for the nauseous feeling after exiting the ride vehicle. Which quite honestly was much less after riding Crush than GotG, despite a much higher amount of actual spinning vs. the forced turning.

Blasphemy! 😂

I gotta say….. I just rode the crush coaster at Disney studios and it felt just like cosmic rewind. Like to a crazy extent. Not sure if that price tag was worth it haha.

Last Christmas would RIP on this ride

It may have been mentioned before, but they should sub out "September" for Earth, Wind, and Fire's "December" for Festival of the Holidays.

900 days since the ride opened and the ride is still on its VQ!

That's fair enough.
