The long rumored Ratatouille attraction took a step closer to reality this week as Disney filed permits for work around the France pavilion.
Expected to be announced at the upcoming D23 Expo, the Ratatouille attraction is likely to be built on an expansion pad between the existing France pavilion and the Morocco pavilion. An extended queue would take guests to the show building.
Ratatouille opened in the Walt Disney Studios park at Disneyland Paris in 2014, and uses large 3D screens and ride vehicles to take guests on chase through the sights, sounds and smells of Gusteau's famous Parisian restaurant.
An opening date around summer 2020 is currently thought most likely, and would be part of an overall revitalization of Epcot.
Disney has not yet made any announcement on the project.
