Disney KiteTails, the kite show on Discovery River lagoon at Disney's Animal Kingdom, is set for some changes ahead of the summer season.
Disney says it will be, "shifting the focus of the show so guests will be able to experience 'Disney KiteTails' from anywhere around the Discovery River Lagoon, with shorter and more frequent performances throughout the day.
Disney KiteTails is currently performed six times per day at scheduled times, but with theses changes the ground performers in the show inside the theater will be removed and the kites will transition to a walk-by viewing experience rather than a specific show. The changes are expected to be made at the end of May 2022.
Disney KiteTails debuted to very mixed reviews in October 1 2021 as part of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebrations.
Along with the changes to KiteTails, Disney has also said that the Character Flotillas will continue to throughout the park including Mickey and friends, Timon, Rafiki and Pocahontas several times each day.
