The doors of Grizzly Hall at Magic Kingdom are now closed as the Country Bear Jamboree begins its transformation into the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.

There are no construction walls, just a sign letting guests know of the closure - "Bear With Us We're Rehearsing A Brand New Show"

A temporary stage is currently in front of Grizzly Hall, which will be used for the upcoming Cast Member service celebration.

Looking ahead to the new show, which opens in the summer of 2024, Disney says, "The Country Bears are getting ready to put on a new show that pays homage to the Opry-style shows of Nashville. While the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs from the beginning to the end including a familiar tune fans may remember, the bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music – like bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and other styles."

I saw it last week. I liked it for what it was. It's clever and current. I liked that they found a way to bring back the fiddle portion. Of course I'll miss the old show. I wish they could have kept the Bear Band Serenade as a connection to the old show in introducing the Five Bear Rugs.

I'd be shocked if they still have either costume, but I'd LOVE to see Henry and Teddi.

I know they have updated the bears outfits for M&G's but, couldn't they bring out the rarest of the bears like Henry for example..They had made one for Disney on Parade..Along with the Sun bonnets. But, if turns out..There was a Teddi Beara character as well...Shame they aren't out..

Zip A Dee Doo Dah would be a great fit for the Country Bears. But I don't blame Disney for cutting it. After 2020 there was a renewed scrutiny for anything remotely connected to SOTS and if the song was part of the show there would be clickbaity articles and Twitter users complaining about it and condemning the company for profiting off of SOTS.

Something tells me that they're going to have to update the show in Tokyo if they want that name consistent.

At this point, I assume there’s only two reasons he hasn’t returned: that rumor about them wanting his name consistent worldwide is true, or they just don’t want to spend money redoing his costume. My money is on the latter.

I'd be shocked if he comes back. Hoping he pulls thru though.

Any updates on Romeo/Liver Lip's walk-around status? The WDW.N.T. reporters were asking daily for a long while, but I haven't heard anything so either they stopped asking or it's still just a vague "eventually."

Agreed- it felt weird to leave their most popular character out of the finale that he's always been a part of. Especially since they easily could've had Ernest be a part of it if they didn't want Al (though idk how fast the turntables turn, can't imagine very fast), it does just feel empty with the curtains off-balance. They could've easily had Henry and Sammy try to cheer up Al with the finale if they wanted a wholesome twist, though I appreciate Al is still an annoyance. Also just to clarify my previous post- me saying that there was "100% a recording" was still just speculation, I have zero insider info!

I really wish that were the case as it would've made a lot of fans really happy. Anyways, I didn't like how Big Al wasn't present during the finale. If they were going to reuse the joke of Big Al interrupting, then they should've had him interrupt either before or during the finale. Having him come out right after the finale is over feels so forced, and those who aren't familiar with the original show end up being confused. Besides, the finale doesn't feel like a finale without all of the curtains being open.

Ah, whoops! Yeah, I misread it as Saddle being cut pretty close towards the end of development. Though personally I wouldn't be shocked if that's what the second Remember Me was originally going to be!

Steamboat7130 days ago

Blood on the Saddle was never meant to be in the CBMJ, and no such recording exists. You're basing this off of what others have said on this forum. Also, they've been working on this show pre-covid, and Zip was cut as soon as Disney announced Splashes closure.

Yeah, Hell for the CBJ Religion is a realm full of Woody marionette imps and Bob Chapek in a cheap devil costume, eternally poking you with a rubber pitchfork and saying "I told you I was gonna do it" over and over.

How does this religeon work? If you sin too much, do you get set to Winnie the Pooh at Disneyland or the rumored “woodys roundup marionette show at mk” when you die?
