Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) has filed a Notice of Commencement (NOC) to install signage at the ongoing mystery project in EPCOT's Canada Pavilion.

The permit, which is assigned to frequent WDI collaborator Design Communications Ltd, suggests that the project is progressing toward a reveal.

The addition of signage is a significant step, as it could provide a big clue about the purpose of the newly constructed exterior-facing kiosk window. Speculation has centered on the possibility of a bar or lounge space, or even a Disney Vacation Club (DVC)-related addition.

This permit follows months of construction activity at the Hotel du Canada, a previously unused section of the pavilion. Construction walls and the vague "Install Set Elements" description on earlier permits have kept fans guessing about what's in store.

While Disney has not made any announcements about this project, the installation of signage may finally provide confirmation of what we can expect from the new addition.

If they can’t find you handsome, they can at least find you handy

Nice bit of forced perspective in the first photo, looks very similar to the real deal. Your second pic is surprising, I didn't realize Canadians had ladders. I thought they just chopped steps into a log and leaned it up. Maybe I watch too much Red Green.....

What does it matter what it looks like? It is almost certainly further along

Here we are, end of February, and it doesn’t look any farther along than it did in August.

If it is a lounge - I wonder if the elevator is strictly for kitchen access only or if this will be tied into Le Celier? Trying not to get to excited...

The building itself is designed after the chateau style hotels the Canadian railway companies built between the mid 1800s and early 1900s so they could use that as inspiration. Or Brother Bear 🤣

If it is a lounge what’s the theme?
