Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a new construction permit for EPCOT's Canada Pavilion in Walt Disney World.

The construction permit carries the usual vague description of "Install Set Elements" and is assigned to Icarus Exhibits. The long-time Disney vendor specializes in custom theming for immersive environments and has recently worked on TRON Lightcycle Run, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, and Toy Story Land.

Despite the Canada Pavilion wrapping up a major exterior refurbishment project, construction walls have again appeared at the pavilion.

The area being worked on is at the Hotel du Canada, in an area of the building that has been off-limits to guests for years.

While we don't know what is coming, with Walt Disney Imagineering involved, it is likely to be a guest-facing space, with the possibility of a new exhibit or bar/lounge space. Disney has yet to make any announcement on the project.

I guess they had to rip out the windows to get the big screen TV in? 😄

Your poutine order is coming right up. While you're waiting, have you ever thought about a timeshare at a Disney resort?...

It’s coming along, looks like the ledge is too low to be a service window though

There was a restauranrt in Canada outside of Montreal called Fourquet Fourchette that was owned by Unibroue, and the menu was all inspired by their different brews... It was fantastic, and the first time I ever had those beers... I think it is long gone now...but I still grab some Fin Du Monde when I see it...

I actually run into it somewhat often... but perhaps I'm exposing the level of beer nerd I am... (as your general assessment isn't wrong. haha)

It is a remarkable product that is not represented much in the US...They do serve one or two varieties at Le Cellier, but a larger presence would be fantastic.

I'm with @Bocabear on Unibroue.

Honestly they could have done a decent casual restaurant with Canadian Fare...It would be nice to get a Poutine or one of the other snack/lunch type offerings without having to eat over a garbage can or carry it around. A casual Table service restaurant like the UK Pub...That space is too small for something like that I know, but it sure would make a nice addition to the Pavilion...

I would not be surprised at ALL.
